Another Tōhoku Reminder

We just received notice that a 6.4Mw earthquake occurred a mere 11 miles off the coast of Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture. That’s the size of an earthquake that normally makes the news.
Yet this one was “just an aftershock.” Were that size quake to strike that close to our coast, how would we do as a region?
How would you do? Look around your home/office. Is your space earthquake safe?
